MADD Calgary Golf Tournament Hits the Sweet Spot

The 3rd annual MADD Calgary Golf Tournament took place on June 14th at Calgary’s McKenzie Meadows Golf Course. Dozens of local golfers took to the greens for 18 holes of good food, fun, and great prizes—including $10,000 cash for a Hole in One.

Proceeds from the tournament will support the Calgary chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Pipella Law, a strong advocate for victims’ rights, is proud to have been one of the sponsors at MADD Golf 2018 including sponsoring some Calgary Firefighters to play at the event.

MADD: Drivers for Justice

Thousands of Canadians are killed, or injured annually because of impaired driving; thousands more—the families, co-workers, and loved ones of victims—are impacted by this senseless and entirely preventable crime. A grassroots, volunteer-driven organization, MADD is “committed to stopping impaired driving and supporting the victims of this violent crime.” MADD Calgary works tirelessly with businesses, communities, and law enforcement to:

  • Offer support services to victims and survivors;
  • Increase awareness about the extreme dangers of impaired driving; and
  • Save lives on Calgary’s roads.

Pipella Law could not be happier to work with MADD to make the streets of Alberta safer.

Pipella Law: Proud to Support MADD

Just as the cherished volunteers of MADD strive to help those shattered by impaired driving work towards physical and emotional recovery, Pipella Law works to ensure that those injured by the negligence or actions of others are able to recover financially.

Strong community support, combined with financial security, can soothe the traumas caused by impaired driving, letting those most affected once again live life on their terms.

As tireless advocates for victims both in, and out of, the courtroom, Pipella Law is proud to have supported the MADD Calgary Golf Tournament.
